Goal For Today And Every Day Forth:
Prepare each student leaving this classroom to be a success in life, no matter what avenue they might choose.
Resources
Classes
Using algebraic concepts to develop calculus based problem solving skills. Specifically learning about derivatives and integration.
Calculus
Students will learn about a variety of functions including quadratic, cubic, square root, inverse, rational, polynomial and exponentials. Students will also be able to calculate probability as well as permutations and combinations
Algebra II
Geometry
Students will learn to think abstractly. Students will be able to think deductively, be able to classify geometric figures based on their properties, find area and perimeter of two-dimensional shapes, and volume and surface area of three-dimensional shapes. Students will also be introduced to the concept of trigonometry.
Pre-Calculus
Students will study a number of functions and their graphs. Students will also learn about trigonemetric functions as well as how they can use them to solve real world problems. Students will also study vectors, polar coordinates and three-dimensional space. Students will also study patterns with sequences and series as well as discrete math.
Statistics
Students will be introduced to the basics of the field of statistics. Students will learn about center of measures, standard deviations, and z-scores. Students will also learn how to calculate probability as well. Students will learn about t-distributions, normal distribution, and hypothesis testing.
